We are very excited that the Virginia Department of Health Dental Preventive Services Program will be returning to our schools soon. If you would like your student to receive these dental services, please complete the consent forms that were sent on Friday, November 4th. These forms need to be returned by November 17th. Wednesday, October 19th is recognized nationally as Unity Day, a day in which we stand together against bullying.  Students are encouraged to wear orange.  Our school counselors will be hosting activities throughout the week to demonstrate kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.        

Friday, October 14th is a Division Professional Development day, there is no school for students.

Afterschool Explorers will meet on Wednesday or Thursday after school from 4:00-5:30pm.  Transportation will be provided.  Be on the lookout for permission slips this week.

Bluestone Community Potluck and Back to School Night is Thursday, October 6th.  Student-led tours of their classroom will be from 5:00-5:30pm.  The potluck will begin thereafter.  Weather permitting we will eat outside, you are encouraged to bring a chair/blanket, and your own place settings.  We invite you to bring food to share.   

Farm to School week is October 3rd to the 7th.Students will learn about food sourcing and composting.  A local farmer will visit Bluestone on Wednesday and students and staff will participate in the ‘Apple Crunch Heard Around the Commonwealth’ on Thursday.  

Dear Bluestone Families,Tomorrow, Friday 9/16, your students are encouraged to wear a jersey, a bracelet, outfit, hat, etc., of a Spanish speaking country as a way to celebrate the beginning of the Hispanic Heritage Month. Thank you!
