ESL Introduction Course for Staff

The ESL Introduction Course reflects the program for Limited English Proficient (LEP) students in Harrisonburg City Public Schools. This professional development course has been specifically designed by our ESL specialists for Harrisonburg City staff to introduce a common language and purpose regarding our LEP program and the instruction that needs to occur in our classrooms. Best methods and practices need to be understood across the division since all teachers and other professional staff in Harrisonburg City Schools work in some way with our LEP students. The continuation of this course helps to achieve this goal. All professional staff members are required to successfully complete this course during their first 3 years of employment with Harrisonburg City Public Schools.
