HHS Forensics Team Places First at District Meet

On Jan. 31 the forensics team traveled to Waynesboro for the VHSL district tournament.  Most of the team qualified to advance to regionals, and everyone scored points which contributed to a first place win for HHS.

The students advancing to regionals are:

Merrill Harmison - 4th place (alternate) - Storytelling
Deborah Halpern and Ellen Upton - 3rd place - Humorous Duo Interpretation
Jon Marks - 3rd place - Original Oratory
Anna Dick - 3rd place - Serious Dramatic Interpretation
Allison McKenzie - 2nd place - Storytelling
Daelynn McCleve - 2nd place - Prose Interpretation
Lindsey Carpenter - 1st place - Serious Dramatic Interpretation
Ama Ansah - 1st place - Original Oratory
Mia Karr - 1st place - Impromptu
Tyler Edwards - 1st place - Humorous Dramatic Interpretation
