Late buses
I was just curious as to why, when there was a two-hour delay today, 1/7/14, to "give transportation additional time to ensure that all our buses are operating", buses were still running 30 to 40 minutes late. Does HCPS feel it is acceptable for children to be standing in -17 degree wind chill for over half an hour waiting on a bus? How does HCPS plan to address this issue? (which is reoccurring, today was not the first time this has happened)

RE:Late buses
The two hour delay was indeed designed to give the Harrisonburg Transportation Department time to ensure that all buses were operating. Unfortunately we had some buses break down yesterday after they had begun their routes, thus delaying the pick-up of some children.
