The goal of the ViSSTA screening program is to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in schools through the early identification of COVID-19 infections. Testing is an additional tool that
helps keep our students, teachers, and staff safely in school. If you decide to participate, COVID-19 PCR screening tests are administered weekly at all of our schools. Testing through the
ViSSTA program is completely voluntary and completely free.
Many COVID-19 infections come from contact with a person who does not have symptoms. Screening testing is the routine testing of individuals who do not have symptoms. The purpose
of this is to identify as early as possible people who are unknowingly contagious so steps such as quarantine can be taken to prevent the virus from spreading.
