Recommendation for a New High School

Due to significant growth, the HCPS School Board has proposed building a second high school. On December 5, 2017, the School Board voted to go with the design presented by architecture firm Grimm + Parker - to be opened for the 2021-2022 school year at a cost of $76 million.  The School Board presented the proposal to City Council on December 12.  On January 23, City Council voted to build a second high school to open in 2023.

Our special edition of The Insider, the HCPS newsletter, explores the recommendation to build a new high school.
